Posting here has evaporated all chances of me getting fursuited cock. Thanks!
Seriously, though, has anyone with affilation with CYD had to deal with conflict in real life? I thought I stumbled across a posting elsewhere mentioning someone was bounced out of a con because of their association with CYD.
Yeah, I'm a sucker for drama.
edit: and if so, I'd love to by a CYD tee-shirt for any future cons  |

I know a couple of furries in real life. Hang around roleplaying type nerd groups and you're bound to run into them sooner or later.
Most of them have split off from the group in a puff of drama though. Something about us not stroking their egos at the drop of a hat... |

Ego? So that's what the kids are calling it these days... |

I can just imagine a D&D game. "What!!?? I can't play a super muscled werewolf???!!!" |

I've never had any hostility, but thats because I've never made public my connection to CYD at any conventions. That's going to change at Anime Festival Orlando.
If I run across any furries I'm going to mention in passing things like "Oh I heard on CrushYiffDestroy that blah blah blah" or "I was browsing the Something Awful Forums and this and that was about furries". Things that, by all rights, shouldn't be construed as threats or insults, but will be for furries, since they're so thin-skinned. |

I think anyone who gets wound up because someone happens to hang out at such and such site needs to get a life. None of my 'furry' friends really care about my posting here. heck some of them send me links and read the board themselves. |

I've been seeing a lot of that lately. All it takes is a "I don't think dogsex is right" or "that artwork is too pornographic" and they snap.
I'd show up to a con just for the simple pleasure of getting called out by guy in a squeaky dolphin costume: "OMG NAZI! THERE'S NAZIS HERE!" |

You might think you're funny. Or witty. But it isn't quite so nifty when it actually happens to you. No joke, if he couldn't play his 'Inner Beast', a two headed hermaphrodite dragon with a whip that of sexual lust, he wouldn't play at all. I said, 'bye!' and haven't spoken to him since.
Oh, but there are some games that bend over backwards to entice furries to play. Sure, as a GM you might fluff it up by calling it a 'Ra'kahalla Beast Mage of the Ch'aaran Rift Jungle', but it's still just a fucking wolf. Now, the online dice games run by furries are just the most awesomest. Here's freedom from the embarassment of unveiling utterly perverted game rules to players. Freedom from looking like a complete freak when you voice your support for the rules. How many games can you name where your magical familiar is constantly in heat? I can think of one!
Back to the topic: Nooo, any furries I've ever met I've long since moved away from, and have no will to meet any further here. (Creepy herm cat guy.) But I gotta wonder what they'd think of me now... |

Gah, never been to a Fur con, usually don't talk to people who call themselves furs..
The only one I know is a coke fiend who thinks she's a wolf.
Think otherkin, except instead of soul searching she snorts cocaine.
I think that explains itself. |

Someone once gave me a peice of his mind because I used the word "mundane" in a sentence on Yerf's forum. To me, the word simply means "non-furry". I guess the guy gave too big of a piece. |

Mundane. So original. It's right out of a Piers Anthony book. |

Percentage chance that a furry refers to Jiffy Lube as "Yiffy Lube" : 100 |

I have shown both my semi-fur friends this site.
The one that is deeper into the fur phenomenon laughs at it, and the one that is sorta out of it is also quite amused.
I was suprised at their reactions. Quite honestly I was. |
