Without getting entangled in any political arguments here, I'll just note that these terrorist attacks aren't really carried out for the sake of killing people. It adds to the terror effect, of course, but mainly they just want to disrupt Western economies. Unfortunately, they are very, very successful at this. |

I understand UK furs are pretty loose.
I just got some news from the Central Command. It seems the war didn't go quite as planned.
It seems like terror is winning the battle, the humans are killing each other like cattle. The bodies are piled up from Rome to Seattle. |

Yes it was clear that the target was the London Underground. London is pretty much fucked without it as it was seen today. |

That shit is scary, i could have lost my bro to a terrorist attack. He was teaching english in Istanbul living next to the english consulate when it got bombed. A few people in his building were almost killed from flying glass.
Two terrorist attacks against english targets, i hope nobody over there gets scared and pushes the country into making more stupid mistakes. |

I love that song.
But seriously, this is pretty bogus whats going on, but the real shame is that there is no way to end terrorism. But then again, it just could be that France was pissed off about losing the 2012 Olympics to England, I dont know.

Naw, cause if it was France there'd be white flags being shown in surrender by now. :D |

No we're British. Shit like this doesn’t scare us, it just pisses us off. The Americans seem to run around screeching more then we do about this. You didn't seem this worried about the IRA.
Oh wait, they are CATHOLIC extremists, which makes them okay doesn't it? Ohhh, can't upset the Irish voters in the US can we? No sir! |

By far the funniest thing was the anchor on Fox News yesterday decrying that the streets of London were "absolutely chaotic."
The live feed showed a few rubberneckers and police milling about casually.
I also saw an interview of a guy with massive headwounds, who saying things like, "Yeah, it was a bit of a jostle."
Got to hand it to the British for having a stiff upper lip. |

Now I'm remined of the scene from National Lampoon's European Vacation where they run over the British guy on a bicycle. |

No way dude, forget that crap. The best stuff is that Jamaican pineapple soda. They use sugar in it instead of corn syrup, and it's only around 50 cents for a 12 oz. glass bottle at a decently stocked grocery store.
It's really, really good. :) |

Anything made by Jones is good so I'll look out for it next time I'm back in Canada. I've tried some other apple pops but none of them are like Aspen. They only made it for about a year and then it just stopped.
Actually I practically never drink pop anyway. it's all way too fattening. I'll buy some if I have a cold that's got me coughing my head off but that's about it. Oh Yeah, I'll mix Coke with whiskey, I guess I'll always do that. |

Brits kick ass. I was talking to some in person at AC, and then online about this attack. Most view terrorism as a criminal not martial matter. They were pissed by the casualities, but they didn't play into the terrorists' hands by whipping themselves up into a nationalist storm and invade random nations.
So congrats Brits, you're all right. I hope, unlike America has failed to do, you actually bring the people responsible to justice in this. Also shows that you can show bravery in the face of terrorism without a propaganda storm and 10 cent walmart plastic flags on your car windows.
Regardless of how you spin this, it isn't a 9/11 clone, closer to the Japanese sarin attacks than anything else. |

Well the Brits are handling this better than Americans. no bumper stickers, Jack lapels or Wanted Dead or Alive posters yet. A friend of mine suggested they have more respect for the dead. That could be it...
The Brits are going about their lives as usual.
The BBC isn't doing non stop coverage of the attacks, possible al queda connections, the after math, the possible new threats, attacks that could foolow up these...
But here in America Fox News Network hasn't missed a beat and took care of that. |

Well, if you've ever seen Bowling for Columbine, or live outside the U.S., you know that most country's media doesn't focus on violence like the media in the U.S. does. Yeah, it's bad it happened; but do we really need to hear about it constantly for a month? These are also the same people who call insurgants 'terrorists'. |

Oh, the BBC isn't going mad. Channel Four or ITV, on the other hand...
By the way, whoops, not Al-Qaida, it was the British. And the loss of life is strangely unremarkable...
Of course, Brit Hume's reaction is little short of notable. Call him a conspirator and deport him to England for trial? |

Someone on a Lion King mailing list has the following to say about the bombings:
Has anybody ever considered that it has been *hyena* suicide bombers led
by Scar? We all know the leonine head of the hyena bunch was a Brit.
I'm scared.
Edit: Whew! Drama's ensuing! |
