OK, I'm not even going to try and continue with the attempt at poetry. This post is about a Flash movie I found. Its all dark and evil with a little girl murdering her family because some shadow asks her too and then she turns around and asks the shadow for friends.

Could some one please explain how any one thinks they'll get friends by dressing in all black, writing crappy dark little poems, and talking about death all the time?
I've ranted about how dumb they can be where I work because we have a whole community of goth kids who hang out around there but I wonder if you all have some feed back?

I once had the following conversation with a girl at a party:

Girl: "Why are you wearing a coat? Are you a goth or something?"
Me: "No. It's fucking cold."

Somehow, she was completely oblivious the the freezing temperature and somehow infered I was a goth merely from the trenchcoat I was wearing. I hate people who automatically think I'm a goth because I wear a large, dark coat. Freezing people can wear coats too, y'know. I was so mad that night I went home and cut my wrists with a shard from a splintered Marilyn Manson CD case.

The goth look is only sexy if the goth in question is hot enough to pull it off. Remember that for every sexy goth-lookin' guy/gal, there are a hundred buttertrolls, PFYs*, and just generally unattractive people trying to pull off the same kind of look.

Of course, I think in general that if someone is hot/sexy, they can make just about -anything- look good.

And it's not just the Marilyn Manson fucktards, the worst lot is the "real" "true" goth folk that listen to The Sisters Of Mercy, backcomb their hair and wear ripped tights everywhere. Or the omg-so-cyber neon-coloured christmas trees who think they're above everyone else just because they have a ton of pink fake hair attached to their heads. Now, they don't write shitty poetry or whine about their mom and dad not letting them go to a Manson concert, but they have this everlasting holier-than-thou thing going on. They have strict unwritten rules of what bands you have to know and listen to, what brands of clothes to wear (and more important is where you've bought them), what books you must have read, how many piercings/tattoos/implants/whatever shit you need to have.. and the list goes on. One must have really bad self-confidence to build their life around that.

Hell, these people are almost as bad as furries. I even came up with a good comparison. Everyone knows how fucking unoriginal goths are, all copies of each other, since they buy their clothes and boots from the same shops unless they're good with DIY. Still, your random cybergoth bitch in UV-reactive neon green wear sees another cyber bitch in neon green wear, and OMG! She must be stealing her style! How dare she wear the same colour?! Like, she HAS to be the only one in the world who is original enough to wear green. Isn't that pretty obvious the damn slut is trying to copy her? That's what I thought, too. She could have chosen pink, or even blue, but she had to choose green.. That bitch.

And we have our general furtard whose avatar is a purple cat. Said furtard browses the web and spots *gasp* someone else whose avatar is a purple cat! Not possible! How could this happen? They must be copying our furtard's character! OMG ART THEFT!!11 And you figure out the rest.

Looked at it, that was terrible. The thing about is for the background music they used, it's the theme music from a anime that I've rented on DVD titled Elfin Lied, it's a horror series, though I would'nt call it "Goth" by any means.

I guess it's all about fitting into their clique. If you sing the song, dance the dance and play the part, you're in the club. (But you'll still be called a poser.) Which destroys everyone's individuality. But that's okay if you're part of the group, right? Personally: I wear what I like. Listen to what I like. Do what I like. And say what I like. Anything that obstructs these things is a 'deal breaker'.

ALSO, while on the topic of clothing: "ARE ALL YOUR CLOTHES FROM K-MART/GOODWILL? DIDN'T YOU WEAR THAT LAST WEEK?" I got asked this alot in school. It's a fashion nazi's job to make us all feel like garbage! It's just to cover your body, anyways. Some people don't care about trivial crap like clothes. And some of us are/were DIRT fucking poor.

One must have really bad self-confidence to build their life around that.

Self confidence is like water in your hand, it can vanish in the blink of an eye. It's easier for a person to have confidence in a group, because it's something more permanent to them. So they'll do alot to fit in and keep the group together. It's a comfort thing, really.

Finally we have the most horrifying thing that is too pathetic for words: Gothic furries.

I still feel bad for how much hell i put the goths at my highschool through. But knowing how they like darkness i only threw pints of chocolate milk at them, white milk would mess up there outfits too much so I could have been meaner. But not that much meaner.

Once i was trying to milk the goth leader and i hit this shy nerdy goth chick in the boob instead. She looked like Tammy Faye Baker, crying with dark eyeshadow streaking down her face. I was a dick in highschool.....but i regret nothing.
