This is the first picture ever of Castro and Che together.

The year is 1956, the place is Mexico city's migration prison, and the photographer is Cándido Mayo, a folk from the Mexican communist party who visited them often. This is months before the Grandma's invasion.

Castro had been exhiled from Batista's Cuba after the failed assault to a certain military headquarter I don't remember now, and Ernesto Guevara was wandering through South America looking for the way to improve the continent's situation. Castro told Guevara about his plans to defeat Batista, the paradigm of American-friendly dictator of the time, and accepted going back to Cuba with Castro.

All I know about the time they spent together in that jail is that Guevara made excellent ravioli.

There are a number of small but still living socialist parties, some border on communism. Mostly their membership includes just-old-enough to vote teens who view Communism as a type of Anarchy for God knows why, and ex-union workers. There are plenty of twenty-something commies on the west coast as well.

I am of course my family has traditionally been Communist going back into the 1940's.

That doesn't make much sense. In the 40s we had a left-leaning president, a good economy and the only existing 'Communist' nation was run by a pseudo-fascist.

The 30s on the other hand gave rise to the reds in America, with the great depression and Hoover's laize fair attitude turning many apathetics into politicial activists. The mid 30s is the only period during the 20th century were there was more emmigration from America (mostly to the USSR) than there was immigrants coming to her.

I decided to see if I can do this. Here is part of Scene 1 of "A Revolution In Their Hearts". May God have mercy on my soul.

A Rooming House Somewhere In Mexico, late 1955.

The room was terrible. Even before the heat and humidity, it was a dump. The furnishings were shabby: Not spartan, simply shabby. The price they were paying was ridiculous. The landlady was awful, they called her "the ogress".

Still, it was better than the streets, better than the immigration prison. In the climate, the only way to have a truly pleasant bedroom would be to pay for air conditioning, and only the rich could afford that. They weren't rich.

It was nearing time to go out for dinner. Che and Fidel were dressing. Che was still getting his shirt on, while Fidel was finishing buttoning up his jacket. How does he get his clothes on so fast? He's wearing a jacket, even. Does he have any idea how overdressed he will be? It's not as though we're going anywhere fancy... He looks like a professor or something, thought Che.

Out of the corner of his eye, bending down to reach for his wallet, Che noticed Fidel looking at him. Again. He probably didn't mean anything, but Che didn't like it.

"What are you looking at? Seriously, what? My ass?"

Fidel, sputtering, began to respond, "No, I... I was just checking to see if you were coming! We're meeting them so-"

This pissed Che off. As usual. He's supposed to be a leader of men, but listen to him. His anger ruined his judgement.

"What are you, some kind of faggot? Get your eyes off me!" He took a step towards Fidel.

"Hey! What are you-"

Che grabbed Fidel by the shoulders and kissed him, full on the lips. Fidel's mouth was open. Che broke it off. "How do you like that, cocksucker?" It was then that Che realised Fidel had gone limp. He caught Fidel's crotch in the bottom of his eye: An erection! Jesus!

It was then that he realised that he was hard himself. Oh fuck, I'm enjoying this, he thought. It was then that Fidel grabbed him by the back of the head and pulled Che's mouth into his.

By the way: I hate myself. I am thinking perhaps an honourable end is the only way out of this.

Oh, damn, I always meant to draw that in comic form. I started on it then realized that the effort required to hunt down photos of the two then add spurting cocks to them would break my spirit.

...And by the way, despite my username, I don't actually respect Che. I regard him more as an amusing fuck up who was pretty hot in a dirty commie sort of way.
