(However truthfully)

Anyrate, I'm back from a deployment to the world's biggest beach. Man it gets hot over there. Every day the temperature during the day gets to around 130F sometimes more, while at night it drops to around 90-100 degrees. Unfortunately at night, all the moisture moves in from the ocean, making the nights unbearable with 100 degree temps with 98% humidity.

It was nuts, baked during the day, then drenched in sweat at night, but the surroundings weren't too bad. At least where I was sent to this time, the natives aren't shooting at you.

But, it is good to see green grass again. However, it seems that I cannot leave the western world alone for a second. The moment I leave, London gets bombed, New Orleans gets washed away, gas prices skyrocket, and now there is another hurricane along the coast of North Carolina! Whoever the forces are responsible for all this must have heard of my return and decided to back off Hurricane Ophelia, seeing how that hurricane is just hovering there.

No,

But I did get a warm fuzzy feeling inside every time an F-15 took off fully loaded and came back empty a few hours later.

Shit, for a second there I thought you were talking about coming back from Burning Man.

At least where I was sent to this time, the natives aren't shooting at you.

Now see, if there were big shootouts between various hippie/raver/artéeste factions at Burning Man, I'd totally be willing to pay $200 to go next year.
