As some people might know, I kind of stopped posting for about 9 months. In that time, it seems a few people I knew stopped posting. Anybody able to give me the background on the disappearances of ZenZhu, waydwolf, and donotsue (he might still be posting and I'm just not noticing him, I dunno)? |

ZenZhu moved on, he felt furry-mocking conflicted with his Buddhism, and can you really blame him for that?
Waydwolf can be magically conjured by badmouthing conservatism or by mentioning his giant-breasted wife whom he married at AC, or something...
Donny still posts, just irregularly. |

You missed the acension of the great prophet Zen, of the Shoe? Dude, you're so lame.
Zen departed from here with a marked element of dignity, and hasn't been seen since. Though his memory still lives on, as his teachings are often cited and remain fresh and true to this day. BONUS: I got to see his porn from back when he was drawing for the furrags. It was AWESOME.
Wayd is... Wayd.
Hirtes is... insane.
Rankin. You forgot to mention him. From what I saw he drifted away and headed for normal life (girlfriend and all), but last I heard he's been popping up in FurryMUCK lately. It's sad, I thought he'd make it out but it seems he couldn't break the gravity well and fell back in.
Me. You forgot me. I'm no longer here, either. I rarely post anything and skim through the forums only occasionaly. Since I've never been social with furries or particularly invested in the fandom, this place was my last connection to all of that, just bullshitting around and now that's pretty much gone. Like Zen Zhu, I've mostly outgrown interest in this thing.
As for Donny, he lost interest as many of the old posters stopped showing up and the fun factor died down. New posters (many of them tedious newbs), the generic furification of the boards (meaning it's now 'safe' for average furries) plus the inevitable crackdown by the mods all seem to have contributed to the blanding of CYD.
Actually, you might want to take what you have and run with it. Ask yourself what you did with the time you weren't spending here, and pass this place over for clearer waters. |

Then there's me.
I'm like herpes, I never go away completely.
Speaking of herpes, I myself would like to see Hirtes re-instated. True, I like him about as much as I'd like a Dave's Insanity Sauce enema, but he was just so much FUN to heckle! |

I post too much.
I have no life.
I'm in college and have to commute (about an hour drive), I've lost contact with all my high school friends.
I genuinely have no life, I only get out on fridays to play cards at the mall.
I know people I just can't get together with them.
I have social problems I've been working on, I'm not really sure if my current situation is my own fault or just circumstances. |

So I can get out more.

Last time I was "getting out more" while drunk I promised to use a dildo as a paper weight and.. wait.. why am I telling this to you people? Oh well.. the point is: I lose at life (but not as badly as furries, eh?) |

Posted for a while. But I stopped since there nothing of deeper meaning to be found or said here. My experience with furry is only second hand.
My interest in furry is like a microbiologist's interest in the mold that grows on the bottom of some shit encrusted barrel. Gross and interesting for a while but once you finished the analysis it becomes something you put away.
Its not big enough to keep an outsider interested for long.
Even for those involved with Anthropomorphic artwork.
What repels an outsider like me is that all active members are insiders that have a lot more knowledge of the topic and basic discussions that would interest me are not even considered worth a thread. So there is no common ground. I still come here sometimes when I have absolutely nothing better to do since the bookmark is still in my browser. Even PoE's LJRIG Thread catches more of my attention. |

An insult that I have some sympaty with, as my experiences are about the same. I've been drawing athropomorphs for as ong as I can remember, and it's only recently I've been investigating the fandom in general. Since I always looks at both sides of the coin I end up here as part of my exploration.
Most here appear to be the jaded ex-members and/or horribly disillusioned fandom patrons who have been too deep and seen too much to see out of the mire. It's as hard for newcomers like me to gather a rounded picture from you guys as it is to gather it from those you oppose. |

Looking on both sides is commendable, just remember this, everything you've seen on this site is true and happens every day in furrydumb. Going to they're side your gonna see a lot of sugarcoating and spindoctoring of the twisted cogs that make up the furry machine. |

I think a major issue is that so many see it as some kind of two sided battle. It's just a hobby. I'm here, personally, to mock those who take it as anything more than a fun hobby or a fetish. We agree with some non-CYD member furries, and even mention them on occasion, but they generally don't go along with what we report. Think of it as similar to Iraq, the reported who finds just chit-chats with random Iraqis is giving you slice-of-life stuff, but not journalism. If it bleeds, it leads.
Then again, I find some deal in generalizations moreso than others. On SA or in the fandom you'll hear group terms like "furverts", "furry Fags" or "babyfurs". Here, when we lambast furries, we mention them by their online names, single out individuals and go in depth on them. That's why I prefer this site. It isn't "terrorists this" it's "Ali Al-yaamad that". |

Took the words right outta my mouth, there!
I LOVE YOU GUYZ :D |

As some people might know, I kind of stopped posting for about 9 months. In that time, it seems a few people I knew stopped posting. Anybody able to give me the background on the disappearances of ZenZhu, waydwolf, and donotsue (he might still be posting and I'm just not noticing him, I dunno)?
Since you were so nice to ask MKX, I will tell you. That is the magic of what approaches the polite which is I see something too many here will have nothing to do with.
I've been quite busy with a great many things, none of them having to do with furry. Work, family, work, kids, that sort of thing. The air of this place began to reek of smug bullying idiots hiding behind keyboards and casting insults from afar, continuing to think this makes them immortal. That same gross stupidity I warned furries of. The same sort that's resulted in the police in my neighborhood always being so busy. Wrong thing said, wrong person, vast undertakings, half vast ideas, no, wait, stop, dont...
Seemed like too familiar a phenomenon. Been there, got the bloody t-shirt, that sort of thing.
You'll note that people still feel free to say the sort of thing that they'd not have the bravery to say in person, much like furries.
So yes Meat, some of you are becoming every bit as much as furries you disdain. This is not a good thing. Forseen, warned of, unheeded, and come to pass. I believe the next step is to take up some idiotic hobby, marry it to your sex lives and whatever there is of your spirituality, and bother everyone with it. Please be kind enough not to make your fetish David Hasslehoff.
Greetings to some, quiet disregard to others, and a wave to Jerry Collins whose posts are not as hard to understand as so many suggest. |

So furry drama keeps your police force busy? Sounds like you live in a nice area if that's the worst of your crime. |

Jesus, Wayd, what happened to you? Before you left, you used to be so firey and "in your face" with all the talk of your bad assitude and your lovely buxom wife. Now you seem subdued and weltschmerzy, older, somehow more introspective. What happened to you?? What happened to the Wayd we knew and loved?
Also, how is it that you're starting to understand Collins? Is this a natural progression? Someday, will we all understand Collins? OhmyGod, what if it's already happening!?
And didn't I just blow all your minds?? |
