http://www.thescambaiter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109&page=1&pp=25

This is the story of a Nigerian 419 scam gang and the absolute ownage visited upon them.

It's 40 pages long of ~25 posts per page, but it is easily the most hilarious 40 page story I've read in my entire life.

For those who decide to quit early on, the better stuff is later. Eventually he gets the scammer to take many, many pictures. A highlight: "This is the real Governor, we lost the Saw of Dead, this is the Hammer of Dead."

Excellent, I can't believe how badly the scammer fell for the trap again and again.

I do this all the time, they get pissed at me and tell there friends to hit me up, when i got into my email to get the above quote i had 3 new ones. It worries me a bit that they know my last name, i made up a fake first.

I acctually got one to fly in to SF, he was so confident i was a mark he said he would really do it cuz i said i wanted to meet face to face. I was going to roll to the cafe i told him to meet me at and take pictures but i slept in, either way i'm almost positive he acctually did it, he never hit me up after that again.

You are aware that Nigerian Scammers are part of some of the largest organized crime rings in the world. Most of them are college educated and actually speak very good English. And they will track people down to collect the money.

shit... you should make up some semi-believable long winded story that you got all your assets tied up in escrow right now and that you need them to front you $600 or whatever to pay the transaction fees your broker is charging you before you can get some funds out of your investment portfolio to give to them so that you get your inheritence. Assure them you are very rich, just terrible at managing your personal finances :)

Wtf? they just want my bank account number, not that i even have a bank account  he's already emailed me the "financial form" to send back to him, it's fake as hell and it has spaces for me to fill in all my bank info and social security, but not any normal stuff like spouse info or even occupation.

So your saying that since i told them i have money they are going to come to my house, my COUNTRY and use force to take me to the bank and get them money.

nigh?

These guys do internet scams for a reason, they don't want to get there hands dirty and they are educated.

I get at least two 'lottery wins' a day. Sometimes I just email back "OMG REALLY? fuck off"
I have to change my email adress pretty soon because its quite annoying with the amount of scams that get past the spam filter

Doesn't mean they won't do it. And it's not the scammers it's the people they work for that will get you that's why they want to meet in person.

They didn't want to meet in person, I wanted to meet in person. Not really, i was planning to show up and take pictures of the idiot and post em all over the net, maybe give em to the fbi if they wanted them. I told the guy i was rich and uneducated and i was fully down for what he wanted to do, but since so much money was at stake i wanted to meet in person to get a face to go with his emails. I will always wonder if he acctually showed up, if he really believed i had 20 million bucks i bet he did

The scammers take a fantastic risk as it is trying to meet someone in person. The FBI or whichever branch applies probably leads these guys on all the time trying to catch them. They are not going to overexpose themselves by flying some guys into the country to "get" you. That's just asking for arrests, plea bargains, and various other crime-ring-destroying events.
