* Does Happy Wabbit count as one of those "hot girlfriends"? Meh, doesn't matter. She's dead.

* Being at the pinnacle of the geek pyramid still makes you as retarded as every other geek, if not more so.

* How can furries claim they have "God-given creativity and imagination" when most of their artwork is fanart?

* Furries might live in homes not made of rubber, but their parents still own them.

* Why do I have to put on a fursuit and prance around on a dancefloor to "relieve the stress of taking myself so damn seriously all the time"? I'm pretty sure I can relieve such stress without putting on a fursuit. In fact, I've heard fursuits are pretty fucking high in temperature inside. That would cause a lot of stress. So would drinking 50 gallons of water to stop dehydration. I think I'll forget about the fursuit. And the dance floor. And the prancing. In fact, I think I'll not take things seriously just the way I am. And I'll start with that shitty Furspotting poster.

...I think I just figured that one out. "Gulliver's Travels" has talking horses. Using the precedent set in the case of "Squeakypony vs. Common Sense", we can therefore conclude that Swift MUST HAVE BEEN A FURRY, and that any works derived from his hand are furry also.

Nothing that hasn't been covered already in this thread but yes, threre were a number of things in it that threw me as well. Everytime I started to be amused by it they would associate hot girlfriends or "furry literature" and i'd be wondering if it's a joke.

I'm pretty sure it's not a joke :?

Even the furries in whatever LJ that got posted in had to have said a few WTF's.

It's not a joke, he's dead serious in his defensiveness. I also don't see how pointing and laughing from the comfort of our own ~~living room~~ forum constitutes us as 'freaking out'. Yes, some anti-furries freak out, see Micheal Hirtes or Shawn Keller.

The guy decided to take some image from the CYD gallery which has likely been there for a couple of years (thusly a reason why goons/assorted-other-internet-types hate furries, since the later will laugh at/take offense to a joke no matter how long ago it was made) and decide to beat the joke to death farther by taking an laready tongue-in-check (don't many here still stay involved in fandom functions/have VCL accounts?) joke seriously, and responding more with a rebuttal than a counter parody.

What's the punchline? Furries drive better cars and have better looking girlfriends than non-furries? Even if the planets alinged with the star of shit and made that statement true, it wouldn't be a joke so much as a jaded and self-indulging comment.
