This kit represents the Albatros D.V flown by commander of Jagdstaffel 15, Lt. Heinrich Gontermann during 1917.
Odd what you find about, "history Gonterman" in yahoo search.
I figured if one traced back the history of one of these authors you might understand them.
This just seemed too strange a coincidence. Never seen olive drab & purple camoflage.
I double checked, then I found a book about it.

So, now I feel that I found something unusual; on the bottom of the book it clearly reads "Gonterman" with the correct spelling. |

| I'm sure there is no relation between the two. It's like saying Jesse Jackson may be related to Micheal Jackson. Though they are both wierdos. You didn't know? Purple was the favorite color of the Germany army during WW1 They also had pink polka dots and other markings that are just FABULOUS. |

Oh, well thanks Magnus, that does clear things up now. Just because one person named Gonterman is a nutjob, doesn't mean hes the product of another unrelated nutjob.
