I keep wanting to post something about stuff done by his friend Ivan Mayne the "Entrapnia" screen plays make me laugh when I'm not just bored by them. I don't know if anyone would be interested, though.

Overheard the troll putting down Kim Possible fan art. I'm not going to validate the moron's existence with a link to him but I will say that he got offended by some of the more romantic pics, and got on his high horse saying how pics like these are corrupting someone's childhood.

I won't say much about the art piece in question because I haven't seen it. But I can say this about the flamer. It's the same one I'd say to any troll: Don't they have better things to do with their lives other than piss on other people. Even those who make fan smut don't do that.

It's a fact of life: Whenever something is put out there that is well received (Kim Possible, Sonic the Hedgehog, Rescue Rangers, Harry Potter) there will be fan works made out of it. People will be using their own imagination to supplement the series, and at times they even go into the Red Light categories. You can't stop X Thousand prospective artists and writers--which could be the creators of the next big series--and I can't understand why some corporations would want to stop it with legal measures (Cease and Desist). If you don't want your fans to do something, why in God's name did you make something that attracts them. Besides, I'd love to have these same fans so these same things to my own projects.

Now then, I will say that there are some artworks that aren't exactly family friendly--'Safe for Work' I believe that the popular line used today--that you wouldn't want to show to your kids. Just make sure they're warning labels in front of them and let them be. Than light a candle instead of curse the darkness, and support the quality and general-audience fan works. I encourage them because of the experience in storywriting and artwork that will prove useful when the artist and writers branch out into original works. Today's fanartist could be tomorrow's answer to Piro-dono, and I hope that some of those in my fave and watch list would end up sprouting off on their own, outside of the fan work area.
