I know I'm not the only person who's first thought was "bowels, intestines, and living, crawling turds". I just can't be the only one who thought that.
Oddly cute, however. |

Ah, naked mole-rats. Bizarre creatures that look like they were spawned specifically for scaring people afraid of rodents.
I love to taunt a friend of mine who's afraid of rodents with the occasional naked mole-rat picture.
"Hey, look at what's in the latest National Geographic! It's your favorite!"
Please note that I have never seen a naked mole-rat furry, and probably never will. For all their uniqueness, they lack the charm of a fox or cat (a great understatement). |

I sure as hell hope that was an excersise in ugliness.
Heres one I found the other day just rummaging around some dude's art.
(Note: I do not condone the use of mole-rats for anthropomorphics) |

Dude's? that's Ursula Vernon's art. I love her art. She has a page here http://yerf.com/vernursu/index.htm :) |

Yeah I realised it was a Dudess after that last post when I noticed the URL on the pic and decided to take a closer look. It IS pretty cool art! I like 'Skunk Rock', for one. The lil' lizards are quite cute, and she has a pretty large variety of critters. (an' notice, even tho she goes to furcons, she doesn't call herself 'Furry', smart!)
Thanks for calling me on that, I meant to post an update after I looked into it but was procrastinatin'
(Edit: Removed pic) |

Ursula's artwork is spectular. 8) I wouldn't call her naked mole-rat a "furry" creature though. It's the cutest naked mole-rat I've ever seen, and looks fit to be in a storybook.
The naked mole-rat in a swinsuit though...
By the way, the webcam doesn't seem to be working as of late. I tried to show it to my rodent-adverse friend, but to no luck. Rats! |
