Where's your avatar from? What does it mean? Post why you have it just for the heck of it.
My avatar is of Presea Combatir from Tales of Symphonia. She's weird in a good way. Any 12-year-old pink-haired girl that can wield a giant battleaxe is awesome in my book. :D And she gets an adorable Klonoa costume, too. She's strangely cute (I'm a girl...I mean cute like my cat is cute).
Anyhoo, explain your avatar and let the fun begin! |

My avatar is Ash from Evil Dead. I put it there because my screen name implies that I am a weird guy standing in the corner, undressing girls with my eyes and mumbling incoherantly. A guy with a chainsaw is pretty weird, isn't it? It also shows that I will cut you up with said chainsaw if you fuck with me.
On a side note, I realize the image is sorta hard to make out. I've been trying to look for a larger one, but the ones I'm finding are either too large or smaller than an ant's dick. It frustrates me I tell you. |

Well, mine is Gaara from the anime Naruto. He's a pretty interesting character. He has a demon sealed inside of him that allows him to control sand (The village he comes from is in the middle of a desert, so he's very powerful). At the same time, he's never been able to sleep, because when he does the demon eats away at his personality. Hence the black rings around his eyes. And then there's the assassination attempts on him since he was six, ordered by his own father. So he's pretty unstable, very antisocial. It was later said that his name was given to him by his mother because of her hatred for the village. The kanji translates to 'selfish love' but can also mean 'self loving demon'. His mother was used as a sacrifice to seal the demon in him.
Why do I exist and live? I need to know while I am alive, or it is the same as being dead. And this is the conclusion that I came to...
I exist to kill everyone other than me.
I fight only for myself. And only love myself. As long as I think that other people exist to make me feel that...
The world is wonderful.
He carries a gourd full of (bloody) sand that automaticly protects him from getting hurt, so he didn't know what pain was for a long time. I also like the fact that his attacks usually involved impaling/crushing people with sand... he litteraly can make it rain blood.
A character like him is right down my alley. Awesome character. |

You certainly love to bash people, ideas and things. Don't you? I'm so very sorry I enjoy something and shared a tidbit with everyone.
I would voice my opinion on the way you've been acting around here lately, but it'd just cause alot grief. So, whatever. If you want to be a jerk, it's not my business |

Well, I like both Cypress Hill's and War's songs "Low Rider," and, well, I've always wanted to take an early '50's Bel Air and turn it into a street-rod (and yes, a lowrider with hydraulics), so there you go. |

Fine. Your avatar sucks, and you're a dumbass. lol. anime.
How's that? Infuriating?
I'm sorry, but I reallly lack the genes to enjoy shitty cartoons... from another country.
My recent re-incarnation is just an old photograph I found image searching. earlier in the day, it was a crop of 'The New Meat''s rendition of the puking raccoon.
* excepting "The lost cities of gold", but I was... 6. |

I'm also using a drawing by The New Meat as an avatar. But before that, I used this one:

I'm sorry, but I reallly lack the genes to enjoy shitty cartoons... from another country. Perhaps that's true, I was raised on the stuff. (First saw anime when I was 4) I like a show with a story, most american cartoons are 20 minutes of "Oh there's a problem, how do we fix it?! Fighting! Everything's back to normal now. The end" Also, most american cartoons aren't very serious. So I turn to anime, people die, they get hurt and they don't just jump right up. At the end of an episode, everything's not always back to normal.
Unless you're thinking about Pokemon and all those other shows aimed at little kids, you're wrong about anime being crappy. True, there's your run of the mill saturday morning cartoons in anime, but that's not all there is. I'm spoiled now really. After watching Berserk, Gantz, Naruto, Kenshin OVAs and other things like Hellsing and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. American stuff doesn't cut it. Sure, Looney Tunes was cute and nice to look at at times. But that age of that kind of cartoon is kinda over. They majority are now aimed at little kids. It's kind of xenophobic to say that things from outside your country suck, reguardless of what you know about them. Anime is just like taking a movie and animating it. And I don't know how to end this post. |

No one does comedy cartooning like america. The majority of comedy in anime I've seen is always long the lines of
"LEMME SEE UR PANTIEES"
"EW NO TEE HEE"
or
"OH (character) YOU ALWAYS SAY STUPID THINGS AND THEN FALL OR SOMETHING"
Whereas american cartoons like Sam and Max (only one season never forget), Rocko's Modern Life, and the Angry Beavers are all-out laugh-fests. Most anime I've seen is only unintentionally funny in how they try to take themselves so seriously. Some of it can be chuckle worthy, but otherwise their supposed "comedy" is really just pathetic. |

Rocko's Modern Life, and the Angry Beavers are all-out laugh-fests. I loved Rocko's moderny life, I forget how Angry Beavers was. And let us not forget Eek! The cat (And The Terrible Thunder Lizards. Quotes like "When will the hurting stop?!" and "Yes, that would fit nicely into the bad things category.") I miss good cartoons like Ren & Stimpy. :( No sir, I don't like it. |

Mah avatar is DRACULA, bitches! From one of the best damn Video Game series ever to grace planet Earth, CASTLEfuckingVANIA!
Say what? Say CASTLEVANIA! Symphony of the Night, mother fuckers!
And to join in a side discussion going on here, I can vouch for the pro-anime thing. Me, I don't care if it's animated, live action, japanese, or American, I just like to be entertained, and anime can do that. Sure some anime is abysmal (FLCL will never be deep or funny, no matter how much these lame nutso-fans want it to be), but some just can't be beat (hello, Cowboy Bebop). And frankly, anyone who watches that newfangled thing kids today call a "TV" knows that, in reality, ya can't really generalize anime. Y'see, there's so damn much of it, alot of it is s'damn different. You can't compare Ghost In The Shell with Naruto unless you're high and stupid. Same goes for Cowboy Bebop (known in some circles as "God's Gift To People Who Watch TV) and Inuyasha. Nothing alike, except that they're both from japan.
And truth be told, same goes for japanese comedy. Hell, alot of anime comedy shows I've seen are just like something you've seen from Williams Street, but on speed (Excel Saga, best example) or some other kind of drug. And frankly, if it's funny, who gives a flying fuck where it's from? Hell, everyone's funny, really (USA: Titus, Japan: Excel, Britain: Monty - fucking - Python). In fact, why the hell would someone give a flying fuck where something's from without trying it? Sure, there's different standards (i.e. the Japanese's emphasis on story and characters), but in the end, it's different shows with different methods. Hell, we've all got stuff that sucks, too (sure, Witch Hunter Robin is utter shit, but so is hobo-home-worthy shows in the US like, oh, say, Father Of The Pride! At least WHR didn't cost a billion dollars just to produce it's mind-drilling shit).
But who cares about that, I gots a copy of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse that said "play meeeeee! Play meeeeeeeee!"
So I'm gonna play that bitch! Bitch! |

Let me say something real quick about anime. If I ever hear one more time ANYTHING that sounds like. "No the world failed me so I will cover it in darkness!" and the hero replies "No my power of love will defeat you." I'm gonna fucking murder somebody. I like some anime but when you hear lines like that in anime comedies that's when it get stupid. Oh also a love Japanese crime films been a fan of them since I was in high school. |

My avatar's the protagonist from Swedish cartoonist Martin Kellerman's newspaper strip Rocky. I've been using it for a long time now, and have considered changing it, just because having a new avatar once in a while is nice - but it just fits this place. So I guess I'll change it only if I come across another pic of a cartoon animal puking. |

First, there was Vash the Stampede from Trigun. Then, Foghorn Leghorn. After that, Chairman Kaga from Iron Chef. Then, the bald guy from Banzai. I took a brief deviation with Jimmy "Dyn-o-mite!" Walker of Good Times fame. But, destiny prevented me from breaking away from bald asians for too long. I had Don Adams as Maxwell Smart waiting in the wings, but I fell back on the bald asian theme with this Shaolin monk fellow. |

Some furry idiots have suggested I'm trying to make people think I've got a wolf head on my shoulders. Say fucking what? Yeesh some people are stupid. It's because wolves are my favorite animal. How hard is that to understand anyho... oh. Furries. Right. My bad. |

Was thinking the same thing myself. Looks... like.. oh my god I think he's turned (furry(er))
My first avatar was of Matter-Eater Lad from Legion of Superheroes, eating, uh... CATS. It was part of an article on "The 25 Lamest Superheroes", from an issue of Maxim. My last avatar was cropped from this image of Guu and Hare from the Jungle wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu anime, cosplaying as UmJammer Lammy and Parappa the Rapper, respectively. If that's not enough to make Rankin puke, I don't know what will, but it will probably call for me sending naked pics of myself, which I'm quite capable of doing.
