That's what I been thinking,but some people are acting like this is some sort of crisis. Take journalfen for instance,LJ users are running to there and the resident scifi and anime fandom mockers of Fandom Wank are acting like the average wanker who they make fun of,make crappy poetry(like LJ is the only fucking source of the interweb for their laugh-ins) and LJ patches. :?
What the fuck?
Like it's going to kill them to take a break from that place just for a day or two. It'll be back,you crybabies! :P |

I think what started the drahma was for the few hours that there was no news at all on why it was down.
With it's recent merger with a new company (don't remember the name), they've been all scared that the ride will soon be over.
I think around 11pm CST they finally posted (on a generic white page) that there was a power failure.
I haven't seen any rants yet, but I'm sure they'll include "yuo raeped my s0ulx0rz" posts. |

| I had a similar twinge when I tried to surf here today. Since I don't normally check in on the weekends, I thought there might have been some kinda drama between the furries and CYD's web hosts with CYD having left with no forwarding address. My second guess that quickly followed that up was a simple move. It did get me to thinking how I should probably wean m'self off of this, though. |

I'll bet you are.
I thought maybe CYD had been fiddled with too, but came to my senses and realized it's all probably just Rankin's fault. While he was rummaging through trash cans out back he wandered in through an open door, getting somewhere into CYD's inner workings and pushed the wrong button.
See, there are three big shiny buttons, one labeled "CRUSH', one labeled "YIFF", and one labeled "DESTROY". What the first two do I'll leave to your fanciful imaginations, but the third is a self destruct device to be used in the worst case scenario of massive furry infiltration of the CYD forums. Rankin probably panicked and prematuraly (no shame in that, it happens sometimes) hit the button to take down CYD.
But in the end Mitch put everything right again. Instead of shooting Rankin, he decided to spare the poor animal and kept him as the CYD mascot (after giving him all his shots and having him neutered) :wink: |
