That's pretty dorky, though still not as dorky as furries in my book. At least a lot of those people could get away with the spandex. I think that's why there's so many fat Jedis, though... the brown robes are the only thing they can fit in convincingly.. with the exception of Jango Fat in the second pic. So, I'll give them points for fewer hambeasts and a lot less blatantly prancing fairies.

On the other hand, at least the furries are making up their own characters for the most part, rather than just copying someone else's.

You have to wonder if the rule for shorts on fursuits applies to the Boba Fett clad in golf shorts, though.

Fat and funny looking geeks in costume. Bland.

The writer was the god of internet humor like EWS is the god of comic writing.

Star wars is generally completely non-sexual in nature though. Most star wars nerds like to think they're jedi or smugglers or Boba Fett or whatever, instead of thinking that they're hermtaur horsies with 8-foot long schlongs.

Just tell them that they CANNOT make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs and they'll crumble. Tell a furry that they're not really a dragon wolf vampirecat and they'll go apeshit on you and come away believing more than ever that they really are.

I like this one. At least in furry it's highly unlikely someone will dress up as an action figure still in its blister board packaging ... unless of course they dress as a Realm of Claw figure.

Sorry, but until I see an organization within the Star Wars fandom that centers around the desire to boink the 10-year-old Anakin Skywalker, I can't compare it with furry in terms of sheer disgust.

Everything that could possibly be said about Star Wars cosplayers has been said by Triumph The Insult Comic Dog, and said a million times better than any other living being.

Also, it's pretty much established at this point that furry is a fetish culture and no longer a fandom.

Yeah, thats pretty much an impossible act to follow. The whole thing was great. Having a perfect Spock lookalike jump out of a van and flip everyone off at the end was the icing on the cake. Totally flawless.

Tho it also needs to be said - Triumph as an occassional guest on Conan O'Brien and elsewhere - Great! Give him his own CD and he sucks hard.. go figure. Same thing as when all these mediocre/decent SNL (or any major sketch comedy show) alumni go out to do thier own projects and flood the market with painfully embarrasing shit.

I was born in '81 and miraculously I've managed to never see the entire first 3 movies beginning to end. (seen NONE of the new ones). Yet, didn't Luke Skywalker TOTALLY make out with, his sister, Princess leia? :?

Some people like Star Trek, some people like Star Wars.. I was always more of a Dune kinda guy.

'sides Paul Atredies would whoop any Jedi in the universes' ass and feed whats left to the sandworms.. recognize

:)

It isn't universally confirmed that she's his sister, but what do I know, it's not like I'm a total geek or anything.... BELIEVE ME DAMMIT.

Star Wars fans fantasize about Carrie Fisher in a skimpy metal bikini or Harrison Ford.

Furries fantasize about freaking ewoks.... those things Star Wars fans like to shoot. I'd say that alone is a clear-cut case of Star Wars fans >> furries.

"Uh, Wicket, why is that fat guy waving his penis at us?"

Ewoks, Wookies, Gungans... All are worthy of a fastly aimed and fired blaster bolt. Why you think I got Star Wars Battlefront for the XBox?

If I ever see someone even remotely looking like Wicket = teh sexx is going through his head...

There will be some very bad things happening.

At least the Star Wars uber geeks in my opinion are generally as harmless as most of the Anime Geeks I've run across.

Then again, I haven't been to Cali, Florida, or other UBER-geek hotspots.

Oh yeah.. you know it. First the rainbow fails, then they're up in flames. Ewok pride, baby.

The Wookies are worthy because they're such a big target. ~.^

Dude! That r0xx0rz! It's one thing to create a transformer costume, it's another to create one that actually transforms with a good looking result. This is by far one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile.
