Good to see something cute today, recently quit smoking and eating junk food and I feel like i want to destroy, abolish the whole damn universe. Been gaining too damn much weight in the last two-three years and I feel like a pile of chakat shit every sober day. Oh well, they say if you survive the first three days without the cigs you'll be just fine. The junk food I won't be needing anyway. I love to cook and I can bloody well roll up a better tasting meal than McDonald's ever could.

I couldn't help myself... when I read that I had to Google for possum recipes. I'm so sorry :sad:

We don't encourage the routine killing of opossum for food. However, it is considered acceptable to cook and eat any possum found lying dead along the road after recently being hit by a car.

In military survival training we are taught to never kill a possum just for the fun of it because they are one of the few animals in the wild that a man can catch with his bare hands-well, you'll need a stick or a rock too. (Porcupines and snakes are in similar category.) Of course, if you really need the meat for your family, that's a whole 'nother story.

To think, it could have gone the other way and we wouldn't have had cute Awesome Blossom pix :cry:

I hear they're very greasy.

My mom still has her old circa-1953 "Joy of Cooking," which includes recipes for porcupine, opossum, and armadillo. Armadillo apparently tastes like pork.

I can say with absolute certainty that rabbit tastes like chicken.

Heck no, I'm not planning on eating her!! O.o She felt heavier than the 7 lb that I was told she weighed, so I weighed her myself to check (and yes, she still weighs 7 lb). And yep, the scar is huge - the gash was nasty, I swear you could see organs and stuff through it! >.<
