http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/05/08/12/100loc_cat001.cfm

Found it on the front page of The Everett Herald,
story is "They call him Cat".

I would say its both furry & news cause, obviously he was on the front page on the paper.

Uh, haven't we covered this guy before, repeatedly? I'm pretty sure this guy's the same guy. Either way he's just AS crazy.

I had trouble telling whether he was someone covered or not. But he was on the front cover of today's paper.

That thing is absolutely hideous. If that thing got into a car crash near my house, came in to try and use a phone and woke me up out of a deep sleep, i would instantly grab the nearest heavy object and start swinging. I would like to see some before pics, maybe it was an improvement.

Old news by far to anyone involved (even to a light degree) in the body modification community (tattoos, piercings, etc)

The list off the top of my head is

This guy
Tom Leopard (sp?) who was or maybe still is in Guiness for most skin area % tattooed
Katzin (sp?) female!?! with tiger stripes tattooed all over her, surgically modified ears etc.
Enigma coverd in puzzle piece tattoos with surgically implanted horns (perhaps trying look like a demon?)
the Lizard man, pointed teeth, weird eyebrow implants, covered in tattooed scales

These people tend to freak out even those with 10 or more piercings south of the belt line

I used to think Cat was OK...until the furries got him. Getting that much body modification does take guts and/or total insanity and I liked him because while some "hardcore" furs sit around and whine thet they're really some kind of badass animal inside, the most they do is wear stupid costumes. Cat took it to a level no fur would. But now, here he is, wearing a goddamn tiger costume and ugly fake tiger ears. So much for first impressions. :?

Oh well. Lizardman's cooler anyway. :P

...now quit looking at me like that!

Holy shit, after seeing that personal ad I can see why the others I mentioned in a previous post get so much more mention in the BodMod communuity (except Tom Leopard he's just as wierd but in a different way). This guy is just some sort of insane furry rather than someone who is insane about tattoos and whatnot. It explains why he is in so much worse shape than the other four I listed.

I believe all of those people are also performers, Tyro. Lizardman's a "proffesional freak" and ThEnigma and Katzen have some kind of act. The leapord guy I know used to be a performer, but I don't know what he's up to these days. I only know about the other people because they're from my area, keeping Austin weird and all that.

They may be crazy but at least they're not "con slutts." ;)

Funny thing--I was scoping out the local furries on Pounced one fine day and found out that he lives near me. I was horrified, and showed his ad to my boyfriend. I wasn't even aware he was a furry, just weird. My boyfriend laughed at my horror. But geez, morbid curiosity really DOES get you nowhere in life.

EDIT: OH THANK GOD HE MOVED. I'm gonna cry from joy.

I thought I'd forgotten about this guy. Thank you for bringing him up again.

No painkillers. It still keeps me up at night.

And it's name is an overweight douche bag called "cat".

I've chatted with Cat and he's a really fun guy. Very into guns too; always a plus :D

The reason for his weight and apparent "man boobs" was prostate cancer, so I really can't knock him for that. As mentioned earlier, I too admire his gusto in actually modding himself into his animal archetype. He doesn't whine or bitch either about life. Personally, I think a good job was done overall, although the fursuit over it is questionable.

I have indeed seen a neat catsuit that was spandex and various fringe...the guy wearing it wore it well and actually played the cat part to a tee. He was thin too. So maybe when Cat gets to a lower weight he can wear a similar suit.

Yeah. I did. Because whoever was wearing it made it look good.

Note: It was not the usual bondage type catsuit...it was more of a cat costume of spandex with highlights of fur.

I say this unrepentantly.

They're ALL into guns. For a group that's so into finding their inner cartoon animals, a remarkable number of them are also into blowing the shit out of real animals.

I haven't talked to him in real life, but I keep seeing him interviewed on TV. For someone who spends so much time with a microphone in his face, he's surprisingly inarticulate about what this whole cat-thing means to him. He responds to every question with either "I don't know" or "Not really." But I suppose he may be different in one on one conversations.

This guy looks like another ugly freak - although considering the cost of those operations he isn't that much of a failure financially in life. :>

I've seen him in real life, you don't want to.

Well I always say that if a fur has a predatory fursona they SHOULD eat meat and enjoy hunting critters. It jives.

Strangely, some furs get pissed off when I call them hypocrites for having wolf fursonas AND being vegetarian pacifists. One guy said "Oh, I'm a LUNAR wolf so I'm different."

Gosh.

I've always believed that if they're going to lip-flap around about how close to the mighty and noble spirit of the wolf they are, they'd better be prepared to live like a wolf. And that means living in the woods, licking your butt (well, some try to do this) and devouring small cute animals with watery eyes alive. Anything else and you're bullshitting. Furries are all about Disney nature, not the red-in-tooth-and-claw reality.

If they were really serious about going feral and living like the animals, we'd hear a lot more reports of crazed coyote-people raiding sheep off ranches in the Southwest, not the usual reports of "fat creepy guy with plastic coyote ears downloads child porn in his mother's basement."

I wish the guy was an actual sideshow freak. Sideshows are dissappearing or turning lamer than they were to begin with. So few real freaks left anymore. Usually it's just some guy "hammering" nails up his nose claiming he's got some weird birth defect that allows him to do it without injury, when anyone who knows a bit about anatomy realizes anyone can do that trick if they know how.

Enter Tom Leopard, "the other guy" with big-cat fur-pattern tattoos. He doesn't raid sheep ranches but probably is as close as any of these people to "going feral"
