I want to begin my first CYD post by noting how much I enjoy the articles on the main site. Also, Happy Holidays. Now let the hating begin! :twisted:

How about doing a Karno article in the near future? His obsessions with sex slavery and huge genitals, along with his right-wing politics and approval of vigilante violence, make him a rich target for ridicule.

Two more suggestions: Add a printer-friendly feature to the forum, and update the articles more often if possible. Thanks for reading!

I don't have that comic around, but I remember it was about a muscular bull walking on a beach with a teeny weeny tanga who caught the attention of two gay sissy-looking doggies. One of them try to befriend him and convince to be gay or something, and pesters the bull for a while despite he repeats he's straight time after time.

In a moment, the bull says, "You've convinced me, take your bathing suit down right here", and the doggie obbeys and leans down. And then the bull kicks the doggie hard on the butt to then turn to the 'camera' and start a soliloquy about being gay is okay, but you've got to avoid annoying others or some stuff, like in those silly Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning shows. And five or six frames after the kick, the doggie is seen far away on the horizon falling on the water.

The comic featured the typical Karno line, with the bull being a bulk of muscles with awkward digitigrade legs, and the gay dogs were portrayed with an affiminate look.

I think it appeared on Vision's version of Savage funnies #1 or #2. And that's all I remember about it.

And, honestly, I don't know if Karno's worthy of an article on CYD. I think he's the typical irreverent artist who tries to gain notoriety by creating disgusting comics and drawing controversial themes, but it seems he hasn't achieved the echo/indignation/controversy he expected to stir up. And I think that's because his stuff seems to be rather mainstream in the furry fandom's microuniverse, so he's too far away from the 'hip edge'.

I remember that "gay stalker" comic m_estrugo is talking about. The main character's name is Bull Brannon, if that helps. I also vaguely remember a Karno comic that was a simplistic, anti-gun control screed; it appeared in some anthology book like Furrlough. Some professor (or similar "out of touch intellectual" type) is at a party saying that gun control is good, then some armed gangsta thugs show up and try to rob everybody. I don't remember exactly how it ended, but I think that somebody with a gun chases off the bad guys (or something like that).

And as to Karno being a nice guy: Maybe he is. I've never met him. But as for his work: the stories are usually silly or maudlin (or both), and the political stuff is preachy and poorly thought out. Sorry, but I call 'em like I see 'em.
