Well, hi..I just sorta logged in to this forum and stuff. I was sorta directed to the crushyiff destroy site a couple of weeks back by a friend, and Ive been sorta wandering around, reading and absorbing the info covered here, etc. Its pretty damn interesting stuff to read, about the deeper aspects of the fandom and stuff. But im sort of curious.. about a thing or two.

Im an practicing artist, Ive been doing so for about 4 years or so..Lately, I draw all kinds of stuff. I started off doing just about like most newb artists, anime and the likes to hone my skills...Yet after getting to college, just several months ago, I started drawing anthro art after seeing some girl's sketchbook. I sort of like to draw anthro art because to me, it somewhat is interesting to see what you can get from combining animal, human anatomy. Its been good practice, and has somewhat improved my anatomy skills in drawing. Plus, for the field Im entering, I know theres a need to be flexible in terms of what types of characters you can draw, animate, etc.

LAtely, Ive also been taking furry requests from people, and quite a couple, with different subject matter.

Yet...according to you people on the forum, does that make me a furry?

I've just been getting a strange feeling from the site articles that what Im drawing is supposed to automatically transform me into- some sort of social outcast.

No it doesn't, true furries to have tendency to try to drag everyone onto their side but drawing anthro's doesn't make you a furry, no-one can define you, only you can do that.

If you believe yourself to be furry well then you are, if you don't you aren't. Hope that helps ^_^

Thank you for clearing that up for me, nonetheless. However, I would somewhat like to know..what group of people actually established this site? There are so many conflicting views in several of the articles featured that at times, it gets a bit confusing to follow. I seem to read articles by former furry fans, furry, non furry. What exactly is the exact message this site is trying to deliver to the viewers? I mean, in a nutshell or so.

I have a general idea or two, but still...Its not that clear.

well if you mean one of the actual originals, I doubt I could afford it ,

but yeah, I would be interested in seeing it anyway , send me a message or whatever with the info, I'd like to check it out...

I looked up a little bit on it, cuz i really didnt know much, I guess the guy that originally did them in the early 1900's did numerous paintings like that - dog-people doing stuff

what did you want to know that wasnt answered?

draw whatever the fuck you want, if you are not involved in the fandom then it really doesnt matter...if you want to be involved in the fandom then you had better have the personal integrity to do exactly what you want to do , and keep things in perspective - particularly since it seems you have some sort of career in art in mind. If you keep your stuff geared for a general audience - stuff that MOST people will understand then there is no problem

what message is the site trying to deliver?

im not a spokeperson for the site, but just as a wild shot in the dark ill say it is: "look at how fucked up all this is , now laugh"

..and to add to that, didnt really ask for an opinion whether to draw yiff or not. And to add to that....It seems that this site doesnt really deliver a clear message about anything...The articles have lead me in multiple directions. It seems that this site is only an 'anti-twink' library, and run by former furries and overly sensitive people who cant seem to be open minded about deviancy, so just resort to wierd, mislead rivers of flames and rants...Whats the point? Which reminds me that I need to get a velvet Elvis and one of dogs playing Twister. Probably more redeeming than a Winger original. Heck, a Chester the Molester cartoon from Hustler would be more redeeming than half of furry art.
