Hey, all. I've been working (very slowly) on an article about furry Jesus. You know, the lion. It's got a lot of my own pseudo-smarty pants art history 101 interpretation, which is always fun, but I wanted to also get in touch with some of the artists who actually draw Christian furry art to see how they interpret their own work. I know they're a fair number who're into this sort of thing, but the only name of any significance that I can remember is that Xianjaguar girl.
So basically I'm asking if there are there any other bigwig furry Jesus artists that I should think about besides her? |

Gah. Sounds facinating...
Predating the fundie-holdout that is Yerf by several years, Jordan "Greywolf" Peacock would have been one of the first to present Christian iconography to Furry, at least on the Internet side of things (avatar.snc.edu..) He was a primary figure in early FurryMUCK and several others. There was a strictly-RP-only Furry Christian MUCK of his devising, circa 1995-6, that kinda died due to too-inhibited centralised-mandated storytelling.
Although active in alt.fan.furry pretty-much since its creation, Peacock did the Shark-Jump when he started pouting right-wing-religious spiels at everyone and publically worshipping Ollie North and Rush Limbaugh.
There was also a 'right-hand female' to a lot of Peacock's xtian MUSH work.... Genesis Eve Cook?
Blame Paul Kidd if I've got the details wrong, but I was told Tom Verre went the Born-Again route, and had terrible problems reconciling his love for drawing naked catgirls with his religious beliefs... |

are you looking for furry artists who are (as in just happen to be) christians? or specifically ones who put religious messages in thier artwork?
and how big-wig are you talking ?

im pretty sure hes a furry, i think ive seen him post on A.F.F. before
because i think in general religious art and more specifically cartoons just arn't as mainstream anyway , then on top of it youre looking for it done in the furry style
i can think of tons of names here but i think most of them dont really apply to what your looking for (either they arnt actually furries, or they dont put thier religion in thier work, e.g. Guy Gilchrist and Shawntae Howard, respectively)
you could try talking to that david foxsly or slyfox, whatever... the kid who got into that big fight with furrie4jesus "battered hearts and closed threads" |

I especialy enjoy the atrocious spelling errors clearly put there for comic effect. |
