Furry artist Nightweaver (long time CYD readers may recall his infamous-for-15-minutes Ozy & Millie pr0n), irate at having his site listed on Portal of Evil, wastes no time in throwing down the gauntlet. First, the ultimatum:

Although I find your attempts at defaming my site and character amusing, I must insist that your delete the link to nightweaver.net from your site immediately. What you are doing constitutes internet harrassment and it will be reported to both my and your web provider should the link not be removed as of 9/10/04. I have played these immature, sophomoric games for too long online not to know how to rid myself of your kind of intolerant idiocy.

You have one day. Use it well.

And so, one day later, he springs into action:

This is to notify you that both your web provider and mine have been emailed about the obvious violation of TOS that this site has committed. I have dealt with internet bullies before, and the best way to shut you up is to get the authorities on you. You are quite obviously afraid of that which you don't understand, and feel like it's your place to bash anything that you don't personally like. I will not respond directly to any of the insulting comments you have made, as it will only antagonize your members further. However, I do pity you. I was once like you, but I grew up. Maybe you should too.

Needless to say, nothing whatsoever came of this. Nightweaver remains bravely defiant, however:

Recently, a group of individuals whom I shall not name here felt it also fitting to raise their fists in anger and hatred against me. They mocked this site, called it every name in the book, and I as well. Yet I do not hate them. Instead, I feel a great pity for them, that they are either incapable or unwilling to face their own fears and insecurity about people like myself. They know who they are, and right now they are probably laughing at me. Well, I laugh back, and mine is the last laugh. For, though they don't like to admit it, they cannot hurt me or this site. They may mock, they may deride, but in the end, this site will remain. I will stand firm in an unwavering stance, braving the tide of ignorance and hatred online. Even if the whole world crashes down around me, those who are my true friends will continue to trust that I am doing the right thing, for all the right reasons.

Ya know, I didn't like some of what this guy did, but I never really had any actual problem with him. In fact when he was posting here it seemed he actually had it together (outside the whole slash thing anyway)...at least thats what I remember
