This just aired a few days ago as filler on KCBS2, it's the usual silly media report on furries, it's a filler piece mostly. It fetures a sex theripist, who looks like a bimbo, and some spliced in clips from that "Fur and Lothing" episode of CSI.
It's just like most such reports, you know sex sells and all that.

Go here to see the report, oh and there is a ad at the start.

All in all nothing really new as far as the media goes, but still the furries out here are worried that CYD is going to use this to make more fun of them.

But we don't need it to make more fun of them. We've got all the fodder right here.

Hey, Mitch, can you add an 'ignore' mod to this board? It'd be much appreciated.

Back to the subject at hand: Yeah, it's another worthless 'lol slice of life' piece done for everyone's bemusement. Oddly, however, it didn't grind any thumbscrews, or really have much of an edge with witch to piss off "Fluffy McChickenPants" and the rest of the crew.

I give it a 'meh'. I'd rather see Andy Rooney bitching about furries... and I can't stand him.

The ones in Southern California, where I live seem to.

Like this one here (From the SouthCal Furries Yahell Group):

They've gotta give all those pathological furry haters something to
masturbate with...

We'll be hearing the orgasms of glee for at least a week on alt.fan.furry,
Portal of Evil, Crush Yiff Destroy, and echoing through any surviving
Disney animation departments.

If there are anymore like this I'll post them here.

Does such a mod exist? I've searched through the mods on the PhP site but haven't seen an ignore one.

I don't know if it does. I know similar boards have a feature where you can add a user's name to a list so you don't see their posts. Around here, if someone starts to be annoying, I usually just skip on down when I see their name or avatar.

You said you loved me.

I found this. If it is made (updated) for 2.0.4(2.0.6+), it'll cleanly flop into anything recent. Of course, I don't use EasyMod, so everything I do I have to handpatch into my weathered board. Between PHP, Spoiler, and other inline shit, it's become a monster. :(

GunnerX's old mod is not 2.0.4+ compatible, so don't even bother with that.

"It feels so soft, and it makes people wanna hug you!"

Yeah... Define "people" lady!

Though, y'know, this does bring up a question... What is it that WE'RE waiting for at this point? I mean, I remember a time when the whole point of being part of a group like this was something along the lines of "Standing on the sidelines and watching the so-called 'fandom' destroy itself".

Well, it would seem to me that it's pretty much good and obliterated at this point. I mean, the percentage by which it represents what it originally set out to be is absolute zero. It's no longer an excuse to get together with pals and watch cartoons, read books and sketch drawings. Nope, now it's a full-blown sexual fetish!

So... What is it we're doing now? Chuckling morbidly as we weep in mourning on the inside, or what?

This is one reason I've thought about moving on soon. A lot of us, I think, come here to get our displeasure off of our chest as we fall out with the fandom in general. We follow the drama, hoping that there'll be some sign that karma is catching up to the furries, and we'll be vindicated for the horrors that have been inflicted on us.. even if by our own hand.

But, I don't think a "furpocalypse" is ever going to come. The old guard like Groat, Smith, Gallacci, and all will somehow fade out.. of natural or unnatural causes. (i.e., they all gotta die someday). As the original furries fade from view, the new ones will replace them. In time, I'd wager either the numbers will wane, or furrydom will be transformed into something not too far removed from the bubblegum raver scene... or whatever that becomes in time. Or, it'll continue to weed the fairly normal people that just like cartoon animals out with its antics, until all that is left are the bona-fide fetishists who are currently helping to form public opinion on furrydom.

Comedically nerdy and scant SF/fantasy/anime subculture, or pathetically tragic pile of sexual fetishes? Who knows? Who cares.

The point is, I think a lot of folks come here either wanting to figure out how to "save" the fandom, or watch it blow up like the Death Star. The former is, I think, a fool's errand. The latter just isn't going to happen. If furrydom ever dies out, it'll be with a fizzle and a whimper, not a bang. So, I hope everyone here will eventually get their fill, or get on with their lives. No sense in letting the fetishy goofballs grab us by the eyeballs and drag us along with them.

That's quite what's been happening to me lately. I'll stick around for a while, haven't really shaken the last drops of furry from me quite yet. I don't know if rankin will be still shouting ENTERTAINMENT, NOT VENTING YOU DICKGOBLINS or if skunkfucker will still be gay for donny. At least I hope the amount off furries will decrease in this forum and meat's and micahs possum will be all right and not catch a post-roadkill-disease or shit like that. Anyways, gotta go study for the theoretic electronics exam. School's number one right now.
