I've actually stated before that I have. I was planning on post 1500 being my last, but it'll be a while before I get there, even with my posting rate. It's not a "fuck you all, I'm outta here" thing, though. I just have other stuff I really should focus on and put the furry-taunting behind me. It is addicting.. moreso for the exchange of ideas and all than the "Lookit teh st00pid furz" entertainment value.. but, it's about time for me to reassess my priorities in life. So... in the not too distant future, I'll probably fade out. It won't be anything personal... just time to move on. |

I know, and like I said you have my support. Not that I'd like to see you go, but it'd be good if one of us managed to move on for real. It validates the notion of CYD being sort of a halfway house for recovering addicts who got caught up in the furry melange of atrocity, deviancy and drama (and the voyeuristic allure it provides).

| The whole self-ban thing can sometimes be an effort to stop hanging around some place that can be addictive, like MUCKs. Usually what I did was just repassword myself to some random assortment of keystrokes with my eyes closed. Since I then didn't know the password, I couldn't access that account. So, there's always that option if you're having trouble tearing yourself away. |
